YOU: Hey there. My name is Mrs. Jansen and I teach a 2nd grade class at (school name and location).
This school year we’re learning a lot about history. The kids love it.
My dream is to take them to a civil war reenactment a couple towns over. Only problem is it costs fifty bucks for each student to attend and we need a Charter bus.
That’s where you come in. I could really use your help. So click on my project to fund it and please spread the word.
My kids thank you!
Don't upload content that you did not create, this includes music, graphics, video, and literary works. If you have specific questions about copyright law you can visit www.copyright.gov.
This includes logos, brands and entities that are trademarked or copyrighted. Try to avoid wearing branded clothing or having other items in that shot that might be considered an infringement on a trademark. For example, wear a t-shirt that shows some school pride instead of a Nike swoosh shirt.
If you want to incorporate music into your video, that's completely acceptable. However, the music must be an original track recorded or written by you. Don't upload music someone else made. Just because you purchased the music, doesn't give you the right to distribute it.
This group of 1st graders are very diverse. This is a title one school, with the majority of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. A good portion of my students come from difficult backgrounds. I know that I can foster a love of learning that can literally change the course of their future! They desperately want to learn. They want to read and have active learning. They have such wonderful potential that must be fostered! I believe in every one of them! They can be successful!
My classroom is in need of several items. The chart paper which I have requested is used daily in the creation of anchor charts. These charts are needed as a visual representation of what we are currently learning.
My students are a very diverse group of 1st graders. This is a Title One school, which serves over 1000 K -2 students. Any extra resource provided gives these students a greater chance of success. This population has a large number of students who receive free and reduced lunch.
My classroom will be decorated with colorful anchor charts, which are largely student created and inspired. They often use the charts as reference. For example, while studying fractions, we created a bright chart with a visual representation of pizzas and how we could share them equally among friends.
It is important to provide my students with many different opportunities to succeed. By using anchor charts, they are given an opportunity to recall and remember important parts of our lessons.
Do you remember the excitement that comes along with getting a new computer? The majority of my students, have never experienced that feeling. Coming from a low-socio-economic community, our Title One school, lacks technology in our classrooms.
My diverse class of 1st graders truly need to be inspired to read, write and meet the challenges of education. Many of my students do not have access to computers at home. My classroom only has two computers for 21 students. We are not fortunate enough to have Smartboards, or up to date technology in our classroom. This gift would allow hands-on technology experience for a group of very sweet 1st graders.
My students need exposure to technology. I will be able to help them achieve this need with the purchase of five Chromebooks. These small portable laptop computers, are created with students in mind, and are a wonderful tool to use in a small group setting. As they continue on in their educations, they need to understand how to use computers, and technology to help them learn. I would be able to use these Chromebooks for so many different games and learning opportunities.
It is hard to imagine how are student's lives could be impacted with the use of technology. By being able to bring it into my classroom, it becomes personal. There is a vested interest. Their little lives will be forever changed, as they become more adapted to the requirements of the world in which we live. It is with sincere urgency I ask that you fund my project. My students and I will be forever grateful!
My wonderful 1st graders love hands-on-learning! They thrive when presented with learning that incorporates new and exciting games and books. As a first year teacher, I have spent quite a bit of my own money to supply my students with everything possible to help them learn.

I have requested several games and activities. These "games", such as Scrabble Jr, Boggle Jr, Big Money and American Biographies will span cross circular lessons. They will be used in numerous ways to inspire and activate learning! There is nothing more exciting than seeing my students on our carpet, actively learning and not even realizing it! That is what a hands-on activity does for these children. It teaches them, allowing them to have fun. These manipulative's are a vital part of today's classrooms. I am struggling to provide all that my students need. If granted opportunity, these benefits of these manipulative's will go on for years!
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. (B. Franklin)
That is the motto I have adopted for my teaching philosophy. Students today must be provided opportunities to stimulate their minds and creativity. Teachers must find ways in this age of technology and innovation to keep a child's interest. I am constantly looking for new ways to catch their attention, involve them and help them achieve success! It is my goal in life to make a difference!!!!!
